Cisco UCS C3X60 M4 server node (UCSC-C3K-M4SRB)

A compute node, not a complete server. It slots into the C3X60 / C3160 chassis (see UCSC-C3X60-BASE.md), which supplies the drive bays, power and cooling. The S3260 is the later M5 generation of the same platform.

Processor

• Two Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4 processors (LGA2011-3) per node
• Earlier C3X60 nodes shipped with E5-2600 v2 — check what is fitted

Memory

• DDR4 DIMM slots on the node; field configurations commonly 256–512 GB
• The S3260 M5 node uses 7 DIMM slots per processor; confirm the M4 count per unit

Storage

• Drives live in the chassis: up to 60 × 3.5" top-load
• The node carries the RAID controller (UCS-C3K-M4RAID, 4 GB cache) or an HBA
• Rear-accessible 2.5" boot drives on the node

Network

• System I/O controller in the chassis; Cisco VIC adapters

Management

• Cisco Integrated Management Controller (IMC)

What to confirm before quoting

• Whether the chassis is included — a bare node is not usable on its own
• CPU, memory, RAID controller and boot drives actually fitted
