Supermicro SYS-2028TP-HTR / -HTRS24 (2U TwinPro, 4 nodes)

A 2U four-node TwinPro. Each node is a complete two-socket server; the figures below are per node unless stated. The -HTRS24 variant is the 24-bay 2.5" build of the same platform (six bays per node).

Processor (per node)

  • Two Socket R3 (LGA 2011-3), Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 / v4, up to 145 W
  • Up to 22 cores / 55 MB cache; v4 needs BIOS 2.0 or later

Memory (per node)

  • 16 DDR4 DIMM slots, ECC; up to 2 TB with 3DS LRDIMM

Storage

  • Six hot-swap 2.5" SAS/SATA bays per node — 24 across the chassis
  • Both CPUs must be fitted for the full complement of node resources

Network (per node)

  • Two 1GbE (Intel i350-AM2), plus a dedicated IPMI LAN port

Expansion slots (per node)

  • One low-profile PCIe 3.0 x16 and one x16 "zero-slot" (for a mezzanine-style adapter). Both slots require both CPUs installed.

Management

  • ASPEED BMC per node, IPMI 2.0, KVM over the dedicated LAN

Power and chassis

  • 2U chassis, two redundant 2000 W Titanium supplies with PMBus
  • Derated at low line: ~1000 W per supply on 100–127 Vac
